Add Some Red…

Did you know February 5th, is National Women’s Heart Health day, in America? It’s designed to be a warning for women, to make us realize that men are not the only victims to heart diseases. So in awareness you are suppose to dress in red. I forgot that day…

I believe things happen for a reason in life, and that’s what causes the coincidences we face. This past week my stress level in RL hit an all time high, and I didn’t see the signs. I was on the verge of having a heart attack brought on by that stress.

And since then I have been wearing red everyday. I also took the opportunity to run the Add Some Red Hunt brought to you by Fi’s Hunts. It’s a grid wide FREE hunt and you get so many items that offer that little piece of red to remind you of your heart.

Today I am wearing this adorable yoga outfit from Wicked that you can find in this hunt. And not just wearing the outfit I have separated an hour of time out of my schedule to sit n meditate or practice some of the slower stretches to help with circulation. I know it’s only been a few days but my complexion shows a better glow to it then it has in months. But that could just be thanks to 7 Deadly s{K}ins putting this beautiful skin at the Truth or Dare Affair.

But I think as my day unwinds for the night I am going to see about applying these adorable manicure designs that Hapi*Rabi created for the Add Red Hunt. All the decor can be found in this hunt so don’t miss out.

The morning of…

Valentine’s may be for sexy dates with your other half. But the morning of… is just for being cute and cozy. The jammies I found during the Hunt for Your Inner Slut at the Fi’s Creations stop, are super fuzzy and warm on this very cold morning. Paired with the Sacha skin from 7DS that I found in the Make over room this round, too.

I had to take this picture to share them and the Valentine’s decor I found over at Funky Junk during a Fifty Linden Friday run a week or so ago. But the decor is still available at the main store, just the price has changed. Want a close up?

This is the gorgeous Valentines Decor set from Funky Junk that was available on the FLF a couple weeks back. I checked it’s still available but the price is a little higher. After looking around I found another side table and some picture frames. The frames I didn’t get hung up yet, but the side table is cute just look.

Outside Museum

After running through the Black or White Hunt 2, being offered by Fi’s Hunts, I got this crazy idea for an outside museum.

With the winter set scene of the sim, I took the white path at =EC Designs= and found this beautiful white marbled arched Reflection Waters. I had to adorn it with a few pieces of art though. So after getting lost in MishMash Fusion I found a third hidden gift. Four gorgeously taken photographs in the Black and White theme. I also had to set up Tipster’s The Moonlight Tip Jar beside the pond, in hopes for donations to the sim.

Some of these pieces are just so mesmerizing I lose time staring at them.

For those of you staring at the dress, this is the cute mini dress from Fi’s Creations. It can be found down her black path. Paired it with the Waya Black-Silver Boots on the black path at Lindy’s Modern & Retro Shoes.

I can’t leave out this darling skin I found at the STUFF salesroom. It’s called Marynia and its in apricot with cute freckles, designed by 7 Deadly s{K}ins.

Now when I rezzed this sparkly black and white sphere from SANNA – SCIENCE and ART, it started to float. Not sure how it seems to be hollow. But I did tie it to a few of the arches so it wouldn’t fly away. I wonder if she put magnets in it?

Well while I sit and ponder what makes it float I will say my good-byes.

Thin Ice

With last night’s record low, the small pond out back froze over and I got a chance to practice my ice skating.

Skating around the pond while its so peaceful and quiet in the early morning hours. Gave me a chance to warm up before attempting the graceful moves.

Lucky for me I am the photographer so I can leave the clumsy photos on the editing room floor. lol

I chose a warm and flexible outfit to skate in this morning. Fi’s Creations has a new release out at her store. It’s called the Keep Me Warm Sweater and the Morgan Denim pants.

I love my current apricot shade I got over at the Frozen Fair. 7 Deadly s{K}ins put out the new style, Ivaana over there. The cold air against my cheeks has brought up a pretty pink shade to them, but…

I think it’s time to go get some hot cocoa. Specially before the kids wake up and take over the pond. lol

~*~ Snow Faeries ~*~

I was out walking my dog Lucy the other night, we walked through Tipster’s forest, when I happened to see something in a clearing right before the snow started to fall harder. There were two faeries standing in the light of a jar of fire flies. I think I have that same stand from HJM designs.

One faerie would wave her hand and a blue ball of energy would appear, while the other kept seeming to point where new icicles needed to be placed on the trees.

Both were so busy with their tasks, I don’t think they even noticed me and Lucy walking through the trees.

Both faeries were so beautiful, I had to snap a few photos as we watched. Even Lucy seemed to be in awe cause she didn’t bark once.

I wonder if I can duplicate this faerie’s outfit for one of the winter parties I have been invited too? Remind me to check with Fi’s Creations. I think I saw a pair of boots over at Lindy’s Modern and Retro that look identical to those. If anyone sees them let me know.

I zoomed in to get a closer view of her hair design so I can take it to the A&A salon. I think Allie can repeat that design. I think she noticed me and Lucy.

As we headed back toward the house to leave the faeries to their tasks. I kept staring at the delicate design of her necklace. I am hoping if I get with Redrose Jewellry’s creator, she might be able to make one similar.

Well guess I know what I will be doing this week. Hunting!!

My little Holiday

After decorating for the upcoming holidays at the family land in SL, I decided I was going to make me my own little corner to celebrate. But I didn’t want to go all out like I did for the family. This was just for me and Santa.

Next to Fall Winter is my fav time of season. And I think it’s cause it gives me a reason to be snuggley and curl up with family and friends enjoying a warm fire and not dying of heat exhaustion. (I live in Florida. No snow, pouts!)

After doing up the big tree over in the family house I decided to go green and take a page from LEP. They made these nifty sock cozy’s for your potted trees. So since I had a few trees of the season I put them in the socks that I was missing partners too. Think Santa will still give me gifts for trying to be a greener person and upcycling?

I stacked a few of my gifts around this giant stocking tip jar I got from Tipsters. I wonder if he’ll get the idea I want cash? lol

The cute picture I found over in Chiana’s place. She also had these Winter Warmers in a gacha. Looks like Chiana may have had trouble with the knitting. Cause these stockings  look a little off.. *whispers* but I think they are bigger than the normal stockings, so I put them out over the fireplace hoping for more trinkets. *giggles*

By the way that fireplace was a cute find over in the Sickly {SWEET} store. Even with out the decor it will be great for the winter months ahead.

The chaise I picked up from An Lema was perfect. There was no “assembly required”. Perfect to curl up with your partner or by yourself. The flannel fabrics are so soft against your skin.

These busy socks don’t match my sweater cause they are from two different stores. But Sweet Tea Couture put out these Hip to be Square socks that were so soft I had to snag them. They come into 2 sizes knee length and thigh high with the cute heart garters to help hold them up.

The sweater though I found while walking around Mutiny in Heaven. Never fails if it has snowflakes or penguins on it I have to buy it. And cause I am a kid at heart I got such a kick out of the socks jewelry over at Redrose. Reminds me of those charm necklaces we use to get in the quarter machines.

The Warm Socks Hunt 2 and Gacha

I’ve been showing you my decorating for the upcoming holidays. And this post is no different. I was able to snag a bunch of adorable finds from the Warm Socks 2 Hunt.

Had to decorate out side between the snow falls. Jag at Magnum Opus made this adorable Mudroom shelf. I placed it on my back porch, cause I don’t have an entryway for it to go in. lol

And do you see my new Santa Stop sign? It has my kids and niece giggling anxiously for Turkmas to get here. They are counting down the days! (I think the count is at just around 30 days.)

This adorable sock monkey, it followed me home from Shabby Tabby. I was hunting down the adorable illuminated sock candle holders Rosemary put out. I have the perfect place for those inside. I just haven’t got to that room yet so they are still boxed. (Look for a photo later in another post.)

 

I loved playing in my new sweater dress from Mishmash Fusion. Myst did an awesome job with all these Dresses, I happened to luck out and get the Rare Grey Chevron from her gacha. (I think she rigged the machine cause of all the cookies I feed her. *giggles* Love you Myst!) It’s mesh with all the standard sizes and the medium fits great on my Slink Physique.

Now you can’t just go play in the snow in a dress with out stockings. You see these cute playful black stockings with the rain clouds? These are an applier set provided by Karma over at Trashed. She has classic socks for non mesh avis and appliers for TMP, Slink, and Omega.

The siblings keep laughing at me cause I keep washing these and finding new outfits to wear them with. They are fun and playful, and gawd knows I never grew up!

To round out this outfit I snagged the hair from A&A Designs. This is Doreen.. version.. 8 I think.. dang I forgot to ask for the color shade from the hair stylist, Alice. Someone remind me to call and double check, please. (Pretty sure its version 8. *shakes my head for forgetting*)

I love tanning salons, and 7 Deadly s{K}ins gives me gorgeous shades to choose from this is Walnut. Britt comes in a few colors and she is available at the Suicide Dollz location this month. Don’t miss out on grabbing her.

I’m sure you shoe fanatics saw the cute snow boots I had sitting in the 1st photo… well these are what they looked like before the snow melted away lol.  Lunabel my luv, don’t think I forgot you. These super warm toasty boots come to you from Vertigo. They are the EPIC from her gacha machine. I loved stomping around in the snow with these fur trimmed boots. (Did anyone else here the song playing in your head?)

Time to start planning

Over the past few years, my SL family has grown from just three of us to nearly 25 members. I took a look at my little cozy kitchen and decided it was time to remodel. BEFORE the holidays. I stopped by 1 Prim Possible and checked out their kitchens.

With RL always interfering with our SL lives, we came up with the holiday… Turkmas! It’s held between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Occasionally, we change the day so we can accommodate all the family members.

Don’t I look like “Suzy Homemaker” in my cute new dress from Fi’s Creations! This is the Milano dress with matching shoes. It comes in 3 color combos that are HUD driven with 8 different patterns to play with. The top, belt and skirt are all different so you can mix n match too. If you are one of Fi’s Platin Members you are so get a gorgeous charcoal grey color too.

There are so many different kitchen combos to choose from, the best part they are all in the same box!!
