STARTING OVER…

Halfway through 2016, my first world started to crumble. So I did the only thing a single mother could do, I walked away from everything that wasn’t paying my bills and keeping a roof over my head. It’s been seven years and things not only hit the fan but they changed forever. As I seek my inner peace and sanity, I realized that SL gave me that sanity when reality drove me insane. So I have ventured back into SL and my first stop was creating a new me. As I learned quite quickly Slink was a thing of the past and I needed an upgrade. My SL siblings were quick to jump on the makeover that was nearly a decade past due.

Excuse the poor-quality pictures. I’ll be working on those as I rebuild my blogging abilities. But here’s the new Mae Mae and though I joke I look like Mermaid Barbie. I think she came out pretty well. I’ll list below everything for you.

Add Some Red…

Did you know February 5th, is National Women’s Heart Health day, in America? It’s designed to be a warning for women, to make us realize that men are not the only victims to heart diseases. So in awareness you are suppose to dress in red. I forgot that day…

I believe things happen for a reason in life, and that’s what causes the coincidences we face. This past week my stress level in RL hit an all time high, and I didn’t see the signs. I was on the verge of having a heart attack brought on by that stress.

And since then I have been wearing red everyday. I also took the opportunity to run the Add Some Red Hunt brought to you by Fi’s Hunts. It’s a grid wide FREE hunt and you get so many items that offer that little piece of red to remind you of your heart.

Today I am wearing this adorable yoga outfit from Wicked that you can find in this hunt. And not just wearing the outfit I have separated an hour of time out of my schedule to sit n meditate or practice some of the slower stretches to help with circulation. I know it’s only been a few days but my complexion shows a better glow to it then it has in months. But that could just be thanks to 7 Deadly s{K}ins putting this beautiful skin at the Truth or Dare Affair.

But I think as my day unwinds for the night I am going to see about applying these adorable manicure designs that Hapi*Rabi created for the Add Red Hunt. All the decor can be found in this hunt so don’t miss out.

The morning of…

Valentine’s may be for sexy dates with your other half. But the morning of… is just for being cute and cozy. The jammies I found during the Hunt for Your Inner Slut at the Fi’s Creations stop, are super fuzzy and warm on this very cold morning. Paired with the Sacha skin from 7DS that I found in the Make over room this round, too.

I had to take this picture to share them and the Valentine’s decor I found over at Funky Junk during a Fifty Linden Friday run a week or so ago. But the decor is still available at the main store, just the price has changed. Want a close up?

This is the gorgeous Valentines Decor set from Funky Junk that was available on the FLF a couple weeks back. I checked it’s still available but the price is a little higher. After looking around I found another side table and some picture frames. The frames I didn’t get hung up yet, but the side table is cute just look.

Dancing in my underwear…

Today my custom ordered Valentine’s dress arrived. I know my fiance has been planning something special. But he has been all hush hush on the details surrounding that night. He ordered this gorgeous gown from Beyond Persuasion designs (one of my fav stores). This time Elizabeth created this gorgeous pink gown that screams seductive night on the town. And she made it available at the Truth or Dare Affair.

I even opened the tiny box that was on top and found matching jewelry!

I can’t help but dance around in the matching bra n panties that are from her Smoldering heartbreaker series, also available at TOTA.

I can’t wait to see what my love has in store for Valentine’s night.

Never to Wander to Alone

I went to the Never to Wander to Alone event, provided by Hidden Sanctuary. And wandered from vendor to vendor seeing all sorts of gorgeous creations. I shopped until I was broke! I got an adorable red n black themed dining room set.

This unique and yet simple set is from United IrishCon. It’s perfet to fit in my kitchen and yes before you ask.. the chandelier was me getting creative and turning that floor lamp upside down and fastening it to the ceiling. Turned out pretty good.

I didn’t notice it until after I developed the photos that the “Haunted Watcher” from De Baza seems to have followed me home and was hiding in my photo on the wall. (Due to it being modifiable, I removed the snow.)

I had to have my sugar, as all my fellow bloggers will tell you. So I dug out this old Pony recipe from Jian. I just hope I don’t get it on my gorgeous dress from Independent Objects.

Oooo and let me show you my accessories!

Now I have to admit most of these tethered bands I can never make fit my hand right. But this ring is resizeable. And such an elegant design on it. I’m still trying to get the larger band to the right size.. maybe if I change fingers? I snagged this at the Deadly Angel Vendors. Make sure you stop by there is some beautiful pieces out for sale.

Now this necklace, from Insanity’s Own, I will never do it justice in a photo. They charmed the bottle to actually snow inside it. It’s that lil piece of Winter for those like me who never get  to see the snow.

I can not forget my trip to 7 Deadly s{K}ins and the beautiful simplistic make up choice she designed for this skin, Daryll Ann.

Outside Museum

After running through the Black or White Hunt 2, being offered by Fi’s Hunts, I got this crazy idea for an outside museum.

With the winter set scene of the sim, I took the white path at =EC Designs= and found this beautiful white marbled arched Reflection Waters. I had to adorn it with a few pieces of art though. So after getting lost in MishMash Fusion I found a third hidden gift. Four gorgeously taken photographs in the Black and White theme. I also had to set up Tipster’s The Moonlight Tip Jar beside the pond, in hopes for donations to the sim.

Some of these pieces are just so mesmerizing I lose time staring at them.

For those of you staring at the dress, this is the cute mini dress from Fi’s Creations. It can be found down her black path. Paired it with the Waya Black-Silver Boots on the black path at Lindy’s Modern & Retro Shoes.

I can’t leave out this darling skin I found at the STUFF salesroom. It’s called Marynia and its in apricot with cute freckles, designed by 7 Deadly s{K}ins.

Now when I rezzed this sparkly black and white sphere from SANNA – SCIENCE and ART, it started to float. Not sure how it seems to be hollow. But I did tie it to a few of the arches so it wouldn’t fly away. I wonder if she put magnets in it?

Well while I sit and ponder what makes it float I will say my good-byes.

The Boat House

Lounging in my boathouse, I found a super comfy chair from Consignment. From the creative mind of Wavie I was able to add this chair and a neat propeller prop to above my door. I can’t wait to see what else he designs.

I was hoping to add some sun to my chestnut toned Liesje skin. But the storms chased me and pooch inside for a lazy day of napping. I think I am going to grab that pillow and curl up. *yawns*

A Night Out…

Christmas day my love proposed to me and I couldn’t be happier! After the holidays were over we went out to celebrate our engagement. And what better way then a night of dinner and dancing?

He spoils me, making me feel like a princess. Which is a new one for me, I have always been the provider in the relationships. So we but heads some times over who is paying. He has the greatest taste when picking out things for me. The outfit I am wearing we got from the new releases at Beyond Persuasion designs. It’s called Nightlife divas: Haley, it came with matching shoes.

Even before our night out I was taken to get my hair done at [elikatira] salon. She calls this design Iria.

Stopped by {Co*Motion} and had cute little cupcakes painted on my nails. 🙂

Of course I am going to show off the gorgeous ring he picked out.. all on his own! He went shopping at EarthStones Jewelry. The neat part if I want to I can change out the red stones for black or white diamonds too.

Though I did go to 7 Deadly s{K}ins tanning salon to get this amazing chestnut shade of Jenny. I can tell you, it’s hard to get a tan at the beach when the weather is rainy and in the 50s. lol

We make such an attractive couple. Time to say night and go snuggle up with him.

The Odd Duckling….

Every family has that one nerdy, eccentric, odd duckling that is easily lost and very clumsy. Even as you read that you could already see her or him in your head. In our family, I’m that aunt.

I was headed to the Turkmas event on Sunday, when this little cloud appeared over my head. The flurries were blinding, and I got lost in the forest. This should of been a difficult feat, I was the one who built them. 😦

Least I was dressed warm and it was daylight still.

I hope my Secret Santa gifts weren’t frozen. I was wandering around for hours out there. And did I mention walking in stilettos in snow is as bad as walking in sand with them? But they were too cute not to wear, even if they didn’t quite match. But I never went for matching.

By the time I reached the house my glasses were even frosted over with ice. I also think I made friends with my little cloud, cause it followed me home later that night after the event.
